Kate Middleton Comes to Visit.

Tuesday afternoon. I was awaiting the arrival of a friend from the "long ago".

The doorbell finally rang. The visitor was welcomed with warm hellos. And bear hugs.

Then followed the typical conclusions about how much the girls had grown... how long it had actually been since we last were together... and how we each thought the other hadn't changed a bit since more than a decade ago.

Ba-lo-ney.

Because I, for a fact, do most definitely not look the same. But I gratefully accepted this kind untruth as a compliment. Sweet friend.

She, on the other hand, hasn't changed at all. Honestly. Except for the fact that she now bears a striking resemblance to the lately-renowned Miss Kate Middleton. Which was pointed out by my two little ladies, who are seemingly infatuated with Britain's newest Duchess.
